About Mrs. Mali

June 22nd, 2009

I am thrilled to be back at BCS, it is truly an amazing place with wonderful students, parents and staff!  I am really looking forward to working with all of our fifth and sixth grade students.  I am eager to meet all of our upcoming fifth graders and I am excited that I already know, and have taught, most of our sixth grade students.  This will be my sixth year of teaching, and my third year at BCS.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.  I am very excited to teach math and science, subjects which I find interesting and thoroughly enjoy. I have always had a strong commitment to applying 21st Century Learning Skills in my teaching.  I have had the opportunity to attend and present at many professional development workshops over the years.  Over the summer, I have devoted time to working with the curriculum during various seminars.

My husband Tom and I have been married for eight years; we met while both attending Michigan State University. Tom and I have a son named Nolan who is two.  The other two members of our family are our Havanese dogs, Otto and Emme.

I am excited to see everyone very soon!
